BANGALORE, FEB. 28. An explosion following a leakage from an LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) cylinder in the house of a realtor in Jaraganahalli in J.P Nagar police station limits on Sunday night damaged its roof and household articles. According to the police, the realtor, Ramesh, had a refilled cylinder delivered at his house on Sunday morning. In the evening he and his wife went shopping. Around 8.30 p.m., a gas leak from the cylinder caused an explosion. The asbestos roof of the three-room house was blown away and household articles were damaged.
Five huts destroyed
Five huts were destroyed in a fire in a slum in Rajagopalnagar police station limits around 1.30 p.m. on Monday.
Lorry catches fire
A lorry carrying paint caught fire in Peenya police station limits on Tuesday night. Four fire tenders were used to extinguish the fire.
