Samit, Neha are champions

DHARWAD, MARCH 1. Samit of Raichur and Neha from Davangere won the titles among men and women in the Invitation badminton tournament, conducted under the auspices of the Indian Insurance Institute, Dharwad division. Gurunath Deshpande, former State player, gave away the prizes.

The results (all finals):

Men's singles: Samit bt Sandeep 9-15, 15-4, 15-10; Women's singles: Neha bt Shweta 11-6, 11-6; Boys (U-19) singles: Riyaz bt Shivakumar 15-5, 15-4; Veterans doubles: C.S. Haveri & Jagannath bt Gurunath Deshpande & Nagesh Shanbhag 12-15, 15-8, 17-15.
