SYDNEY, MARCH 1 . Australia's Darren Lehmann, slated to undergo a shoulder surgery next week, will miss the three-Test series in New Zealand starting at Christchurch on March 10. ``The South Australia batsman will undergo a shoulder surgery next week, at the conclusion of the Retravision Warriors versus West End Redbacks Pura Cup match which begins in Perth on Thursday. He will thus be unavailable for selection in the Australian Test team for the Travelex Tour of New Zealand,'' a Cricket Australia media release announced here on Tuesday. Lehmann has had a slight injury for some time which has worsened in the past few weeks and has restricted his bowling and throwing actions.
``I want to get the shoulder right so that I am fit and ready for selection for the Ashes later in the year,'' he said. UNI
