GUNTUR, MARCH 1. A Dalit auto driver, Kuchipudi Nageswara Rao, 45, committed suicide close to the Congress party office near NTR Bus stand on Tuesday evening with Rs. 50,000 cash in his possession. A resident of Takkellapadu, he reportedly had a running feud with one Jayamma and Venkata Subbaiah, in Takkellapadu village over selection of beneficiaries for ration cards. Nageswara Rao, with no party affiliation was believed to have tried to make peace with his opponents. The police have not registered any case as the relatives of the deceased had not yet complained to the police. The Madiga students' organisation saw it as a power struggle in the village and have decided to launch an agitation, its president, G. Manikya Rao, told reporters on Tuesday night.
