Hockey player dead

ALAPPUZHA, MARCH 1. Former member of the Kerala University hockey team and member of the Kerala Sports Council K. Madhavan Pillai (68) died at his residence at Chandanakkavu here at midnight on February 27.

Mr. Pillai was a retired sales tax officer. He is survived by his wife, Mohana Ammal, and son, Senthil Kumar.

The cremation will be at 4 p.m. on March 2.
