Accused inflicts injuries on himself

HYDERABAD,
MARCH 1.
The Sanjeevareddy Nagar police went into a tizzy on Tuesday when a youngster, Hussain, 25, who was arrested in connection with a pending warrant, inflicted injuries on himself with a broken floppy.
Police said the accused somehow managed to lay his hands on a broken floppy and inflicted injuries on his forearms when he was being taken to the toilet on the police station premises. He was immediately taken to a hospital and later produced before the magistrate.
A resident of Borabanda, Somnath was arrested in connection with a theft of autorickshaw in the year 2000. A warrant was issued against him in 2002 since he failed to attend the trial. He was arrested as part of executing the pending warrant.
