Akhil's all-round show (114 n.o. and three for five) helped State Bank of Mysore (SBM) defeat Syndicate Bank RC by 173 runs in a KSCA Group II, first division league match here recently. SBM scored 232 and bowled out Syndicate Bank RC for 59. Seamer T. Nasiruddin grabbed four wickets. The scores. Group II, I division: SBM 232 for six in 35.2 overs (B. Akhil 114 n.o.) bt Syndicate Bank RC 59 in 36 overs (T. Nasiruddin four for 24). SBI 209 for seven in 65 overs (B.V. Bhaskar 60, Maruthi Shanbal 48) drew with AGORC 52 for no loss in 13 overs. Group II, II division: Advocate Association CC 199 in 48 overs (Sundar 46) lost to ASC Centre CC 200 for three in 32 overs (Vijay Gupta 70, Charan Punacha 42). BEML RC Bangalore 139 in 37.3 overs (A. Velu four for 39) lost to Hutti Gold Mines CC 140 for four in 23.3 overs (Mallikarjun 51, B.S. Raghotham four for 51). Air India CC 305 for six in 50 overs (Satish 101 n.o., Venkat 44) bt SWRI 174 in 35.2 overs (Nityanand 50, K.G. Kashinath 43, Diwakar Shetty seven for 36).
