HUBLI, MARCH 3. The former MP and Chairman of VRL Group of Companies, Vijay Sankeshwar, has said that women should seek equality through hard work and not depend on reservation. He was speaking at the inauguration of the "Women entrepreneurship development programme," organised by the Karnataka State Finance Corporation (KSFC), Dharwad, and Women In Business (WIN-B), Hubli, here on Wednesday. Mr. Sankeshwar said that the corporation will do well by reducing interest rates rather than increasing the number of schemes offered. Radhika Gokhale, a women entrepreneur, said that quality consciousness holds the key to success. Leela Karaveerashettar, the president of Women In Business, spoke about the activities of the organisation. H.V. Krishnaswamy, Zonal Manager of the corporation at Bangalore, said the corporation has disbursed Rs. 900 crores to women entrepreneurs in the State.
