Randhawa, Atwal struggle

DUBAI, MARCH 3 . Jyoti Randhawa and Arjun Atwal struggled on the greens as they carded 72 and 73 respectively on the opening day of the $2.2 million Dubai Desert Classic at the Majlis Course at the Emirates Golf Club.

The day belonged to South African, Ernie Els, who shot a flawless six-under 66 to take a one shot lead over Miguel Angel Jimenez of Spain and David Howell of England.

Randhawa was tied for 55th spot and Atwal was tied for 76th. — PTI
