VELLORE, MARCH 3. Two candidates were found copying in the Tamil I Plus-Two public examination in St. Andrew's Higher Secondary School, Arakkonam. They were removed from the examination hall on Wednesday, the first day of the state-wide higher secondary public examinations. A total of 28,623 candidates 14,978 boys and 13,645 girls are appearing for the Plus Two public examinations in Vellore district. The Collector, S. Gopalakrishnan inspected the examinations in Sri Venkateswara Higher Secondary School and Voorhees Higher Secondary School here today. Flying squads comprising officials of the revenue, education and rural development departments visited the various examination centres in the district to check malpractices. The incident in Arakkonam was detected by a flying squad headed by the Chief Educational Officer in-charge, K. Ramanujam.
