PONDICHERRY, MARCH 3. The police arrested one person and recovered stolen goods during a vehicle check on March 2. According to police, Omar from Rasu Udayar Thottam was arrested after he failed to provide the necessary papers for the bike he was riding during a vehicle check at Sonampalayam. Questioning revealed that the bike was stolen. Later, the police recovered 20 sovereigns of gold, 150 gm of silver, two motorcycles and Rs. 2000 from him. Omar is an ex-convict and was involved three theft cases in Grand Bazar and Odiansalai, police said.
