CPI(M) threatens to stall proceedings

By Our Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD, MARCH 3. The Communist Party of India (M) has threatened to stall the proceedings of the Assembly if the grievances of village servants are not redressed immediately.

Addressing the striking members of the Andhra Pradesh Village Servants' Association at Indira park here on Thursday, the CPI(M) secretary, B.V. Raghuvulu said that despite three meetings with the Government officials, the problems of the village servants had not been solved. The village servants who were performing their duties without fail were paid a meagre salary of Rs. 900 per month.

He demanded the Government to enhance the same to Rs. 2,600 per month. He said the CPI(M) would stall the proceedings of the House if the Government delayed action.
