CHANDIGARH, MAR.3. Even before the change of guard at the Chief Minister's office in Haryana with the power yet to be formally handed over to the Congress in the wake of the State Assembly election outcome, the officiating Indian National Lok Dal regime today reversed its recent controversial order relating to the suspension of senior IAS officer Bhaskar Chatterjee. An official note issued here today said that the Haryana Government had reinstated Mr. Chatterjee, Financial Commissioner and Principal Secretary, with immediate effect without prejudice to the disciplinary action pending against him. Mr. Chatterjee has been posted as Financial Commissioner and Principal Secretary in the Tourism Department relieving H. C. Disodia of the charge. Mr.Chatterjee, who headed the Town and Country Planning Department, was suspended last month as he failed to "obey the diktat'' of the Om Parkash Chautala regime. His suspension had generated resentment among the bureaucrats.
