Summer specials to Madurai, Nagercoil

CHENNAI, MARCH 3. Southern Railway will operate the following special trains this summer to clear the extra rush of passengers.

Train no. 0635 Chennai Central-Thiruvananthapuram (tri-weekly) specials will leave Chennai at 9.15 p.m. on all Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from April 4 to June 6 and reach Thiruvananthapuram at 4.30 p.m. the next day. Train no. 0636 will leave Thiruvananthapuram at 7.30 p.m. on all Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from April 5 to June 7 and arrive here at 12.30 p.m. the next day.

Train no. 0601 Chennai Central-Mangalore superfast special will leave Chennai at 5 p.m. on all Fridays from April 8 to June 17 and reach Mangalore at 8.45 a.m. the next day. In the return direction, train no. 0602 will leave Mangalore at 4 p.m. on all Sundays from April 10 to June 19 and arrive here at 8 a.m. the next day.

Train no. 0605 Chennai Egmore-Nagercoil special will leave Egmore at 8.30 p.m. on all Thursdays and Sundays from April 3 to June 12 and reach Nagercoil at 12.30 p.m. the next day. Train no. 0606 will leave Nagercoil at 1.30 p.m. on all Fridays and Mondays from April 4 to June 13 and arrive here at 4.30 a.m. the next day.

Train no. 0607 Chennai Egmore-Madurai special will leave Egmore at 11 p.m. on all Fridays and Sundays from April 2 to June 11 and reach Madurai at 8.45 a.m. the next day. In the return direction, train no. 0608 will leave Madurai at 6.30 p.m. on all Thursdays and Saturdays from April 3 to June 12 and arrive here by 4.30 a.m. the next day.

Train no. 0613 Chennai Egmore-Thoothukudi special will leave Egmore at 7 p.m. on all Mondays from April 4 to June 6 and reach Thoothukudi at 8 a.m. the next day. Train no. 0614 will leave Thoothukudi at 8.30 p.m. on all Tuesdays from April 5 to June 7 and arrive here at 9.30 p.m. the next day.

Advance reservation for the above special trains have already commenced, according to a railway press release.
