THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, MARCH 3. The Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) Vigilance wing has detected theft of power amounting to Rs.1 lakh from a restaurant near Chettikulangara on Thursday evening. The anti-power theft squad raided the restaurant on the basis of a tip-off received by the Inspector General of Police, KSEB Vigilance, Rishiraj Singh. The KSEB has cut power to the restaurant. The owner has been booked on charges of theft and violation of the Indian Electricity Act. An official said the electronic meter at the establishment was found to be tampered with.
