VISAKHAPATNAM, MARCH 4. The GITAM College of Management Studies here received accredition from the National Assessment and Accredition Council (NAAC) of the UGC and was given A grade. The GITAM College was among the 13 colleges that received "A'' grade in the State, according to a press release from its Director, M. Gangadhara Rao. The Peer Team of the NAAC, consisting of the Vice-Chancellor of Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswathi Viswa Mahavidyalaya (deemed university), N.Jayasankarana, the Deputy Chairman of the Orissa State Planning Board, P.K. Sahu, the Chairman of the Board of Studies of Commerce and Management of Karnataka Open University, Jagadeesha, and the Deputy Advisor to NAAC, M.S. Shyamsundar, visited the college on February 11 and 12 and made a report after examining the various facilities at the college and interacting with the faculty and students.
