HYDERABAD, MARCH 4. The much-awaited bus connectivity to MMTS stations in the city is finally taking shape with the State Road Transport Corporation's Hyderabad City Region proposing to introduce 50 buses on specified routes in a phased manner. The MMTS stations to which RTC buses will be pressed into service will include Secunderabad, Arts College, Vidyanagar, Kachiguda, Malakpet, Dabeerpura, Yakutpura, Falaknuma, Lingampally, Chandanagar, Hafeezpet, Hi-tech City, Borabanda, Nature Cure, Bharatnagar, Fathenagar, Khairatabad, Lakdikapul, Necklace Road, Begumpet and James Street. The first phase of RTC connectivity to MMTS stations will have six buses connecting the Secunderabad station with effect from Saturday. Accordingly Route No. 901 will have two buses making 36 rounds to the station, starting at the station and covering Bata, Boats Club, Ranigunj, Minerva and Sangeet. YThe timings of the buses will be in tandem with 38 train departures. (See box for other routes). All the buses will operate from the Bhoiguda side of the Secunderabad railway station. The remaining 21 MMTS stations will be connected with 44 buses by the end of this month, the RTC City regional manager, C. Pandu Ranga Murthy said.
