HYDERABAD, MARCH 4. A round-the-clock vigil is on in Hyderabad and its periphery by the intelligence wing of the police against attempts to plant explosives, the Home Minister , K. Jana Reddy, announced in the Assembly on Friday. Replying to query by G. Kishen Reddy (BJP), he said, the twin cities had witnessed 29 bomb blasts since 1993. There were three blasts in Hyderabad recently and three bus burnings in Cyberabad. Seven persons had been arrested in connection with these incidents and remanded to judicial custody. Charge-sheets would be filed against them after receipt of forensic reports. The measures announced by the Minister to prevent recurrence of such incidents were intensified patrolling by Rakshak and Blue-Colt vehicles.
