VISAKHAPATNAM, MARCH 4. Normalcy returned to the fishing villages of Gangavaram and Dibbapalem, along with the nearby Venkannapalem, on Friday. The situation is absolutely peaceful, said the Inspector of Police (Gajuwaka), V. Suresh Babu. However, police bandobust is continuing. Fishermen resumed their fishing activity after a gap of four days and students started going to schools and colleges in Gajuwaka and other areas. There was tension in the area after attacks and counter-attacks on Monday between the villagers of Gangavaram and Dibbapalem on one side and alleged bogus beneficiaries from Venkannapalem village on the issue of TNR Nagar. The colony was demolished on Thursday evening.
