CHENNAI, MARCH. 5. The Gold Card Scheme will not be applicable to exporters blacklisted by the Export Credit Guarantee Corporation (ECGC). Further, those who figure in the defaulter/caution list of the Reserve Bank of India are taken out of the Gold Card Scheme. A notification from the apex bank said the scheme would not also apply to exporters who had been making losses for the past three years or having overdue export bills in excess of 10 per cent of the previous year's turnover. The Gold Card scheme was intended to help exporters with a good track record with easy credit on best terms. It essentially envisaged additional benefits linked to the performance of exporters.
