KOCHI, MARCH 5. The City Police Commissioner, Dinendra Kashyap, has held a meeting with mobile-phone traders in the city to review the increasing number of mobile phone thefts in the city. The traders have been told to ensure the ownership of mobile-phone sets before buying them. This step is being taken after reports that most phone sets stolen are sold off soon in shops within the city, said the public relations department of the city police. In case of any stolen material coming to people's notice, the police should be alerted. The informants' details will be kept confidential. The City Police Commissioner has requested cooperation of people in this regard.
