The columns show maximum and minimum temperature in Celsius, rainfall during last 24 hours (tr-trace) and total rainfall in mm since Jan. 1, 2005. Isolated rain likely in Tamil Nadu CHENNAI, MARCH 5. Isolated rainfall occurred over Kerala. Mainly dry weather prevailed over Tamil Nadu and dry weather prevailed over Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Lakshadweep. Alapuzha recorded 3 centimetre and Kochi airport and Cherthala (Alapuzha dt.) recorded 2 centimetres of rainfall each. On Friday, the maximum temperature rose at one or two places over Rayalaseema, fell appreciably at one or two places over north coastal Andhra Pradesh, fell at one or two places over rest coastal Andhra Pradesh, north interior Tamil Nadu and changed little elsewhere over the region. They were appreciably above normal at a few places over North Tamil Nadu, at one or two places over Andhra Pradesh, above normal at many places over Kerala, at one or two places over rest Andhra Pradesh, rest Tamil Nadu, coastal Karnataka, north interior Karnataka and were generally normal over the rest of the region. Cuddappah and Anantapur recorded the highest maximum temperature of 39 degree Celsius in the region. The minimum temperature rose appreciably at one or two places over south coastal Tamil Nadu, Telangana, rose at one or two places over south Tamil Nadu, rest Telangana, Rayalaseema, south interior Karnataka, fell at one or two places over south coastal Andhra Pradesh and changed little elsewhere over the region. Belgaum Airport recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 16 degree Celsius in the plains of the region. FORECAST (valid until Monday Morning): Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry and Kerala. Mainly dry weather will prevail over Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Lakshadweep.
