HYDERABAD, MARCH. 5. The online B.Ed admissions for the academic year 2004-2005 would be conducted from March 21 and would be held as per the procedure followed for EAMCET admissions. In a statement issued here on Saturday, the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) informed that the main admission venue will be S.V. Bhavan, Masab Tank in the city and candidates can also report for admission at Regional Counselling Centres at Warangal, Tirupati, Guntur and Visakhapatnam. The admissions are likely to be completed in three to four weeks and notification inviting information from Special Category candidates and the admission notification would be issued shortly. According to the statement, the total B.Ed colleges were 303 and the number of seats were 34,076 which included 22,732 convener seats. The break-up included seven Government B.Ed Colleges (1,062 seats), six University Colleges (660 seats), seven Private Aided B.Ed Colleges (960 seats), 174 Private Un-Aided B.Ed Colleges (19,195 seats) and 111 Minority B.Ed Colleges (12,199 seats). The number of candidates qualified at Ed.CET-2004 held in October last year was 2,29,644. The total fee, including tuition fee and special fee, payable per annum from 2004-2005 is Rs. 12,000 as against Rs. 10,800 per annum paid till 2003-2004, the statement added.
