`UDF faces rout in Assembly polls'

KOLLAM, MARCH 5. The chairman of the Kerala Congress(B), R. Balakrishna Pillai, today said that in the next Assembly elections, the UDF would not win even in 10 constituencies.

Addressing a meeting organised in connection with the Kottarakara mandalam conference of his party, Mr. Pillai said that if the KPCC antagonised the senior Congress leader, K. Karunakaran, the plight of the UDF would be even worse after the elections.

He said he had already drawn up a strategy for the victory of the Kerala Congress(B) candidates from the Kottarakara and Pathanapuram constituencies.
