KOLLAM, MARCH 5. St. Gregorios College, Kottarakara, organised a three-day national seminar on `Emerging trends in physics' at the college from March 2. The seminar was inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor of the University of Kerala, M.K. Ramachandran Nair. The seminar was organised as part of observing the `World Year of Physics.' In his address, Dr. Ramachandran Nair emphasised the need to formulate curriculum in universities that would enable students cope with the requirements of the country. The seminar was sponsored by the University of Kerala. Lectures on particle symmetry, non linear optics, excitations, digital imaging techniques and chaos in dissipative systems were presented at the seminar which concluded on Friday.
