CHENNAI, MARCH 5. The Tamil Nadu State Legal Services Authority (TNSLSA), disposed of 43 cases during the last week's adalat conductecd at the Central Prison here. Chaired by the XIII Metropolitan Magistrate at Egmore, K. Ramanathan, the adalat cleared the entire list of 43 cases, benefiting a total of 31 prisoners. The week's maximum sentence was awarded to one Palayam, who was involved in a burglary case. Though he was sentenced to one-year rigorous imprisonment, he was released immediately as he had already served the period, the adalat counsel, V. Kannadasan, said.
