HYDERABAD, MARCH 5. Two miscreants splashed acid on a domestic help under the Nampally police limits on Thursday. However, the incident came to light on Friday after the victim, Rehmat Sultana (35), narrated the episode to the police. She is undergoing treatment at Gandhi hospital and her condition was said to be serious. The police said that on Thursday evening, Sultana was returning home from work when two miscreants waylaid her. Next, one of them splashed acid on her face and fled on a motorcycle. Sultana went back to the house where she is employed and they rushed her to the hospital. Though the motive for the acid attack was to be ascertained, the police believe that either family disputes or previous rivalry could be the reason.
