KOCHI, MARCH 5. The School of Engineering, Trikkakara, won the overall championship at the Cochin University of Science and Technology youth festival, which concluded here today. The school won 238 points to lift the championship. The university main departments were the runner-up with 165 points. Anoop Vijayan of the College of Engineering, Kidangoor, won the Kalapratibha title. He won first prizes in clay modelling and second prize in painting and pencil drawing events. Sreenu G. of the College of Engineering, Poonjar, won the Kalathilakom title. She won first prizes in fancy dress, Mohiniyattom and Bharatanatyam. The Vice-Chancellor, Abdul Azis, distributed prizes to the winners at the valedictory session of the festival held in the evening. Winners of the some of the events held today are: Oppana (women): School of Engineering Photography: Anil M.K. of ER&DC, Thiruvananthapuram Mimicry: Jithesh Kumar of ER&DC, Thiruvananthapuram. Poster designing: Abhilash of Cochin University main campus. Clay Modelling: Anoop Vijayan of College of Engineering, Kidangoor.
