BANGALORE, MARCH 5. A court commissioner appointed by the Delhi High Court on Wednesday found pirated software of SAP AG, the German ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software provider, from a city-based computer training institute. According to SAP, a training institute at Jayanagar was illegally using "SAP R/3" software to give training in the name of SAP. This institute, according to SAP, is not an authorised SAP training centre. A suit was filed by SAP AG and SAP India against the training institute before the Delhi High Court which appointed a court commissioner and directed him to visit the training institute here. The court commissioner, during his inspection on Wednesday, found three servers and 12 nodes running pirated "SAP R/3" software. The hard disks containing the pirated SAP software were seized and sealed, a SAP press release said. The seized material will be produced in the Delhi High Court. The SAP has asked people to check the accreditation of educational centres before paying the fees. For any queries about SAP, students could contact education.india@sap.com, the release added.
