Train halt

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, MARCH 5. In connection with the Kaliyoottu festival at the Sree Sarkara Devi Temple, train number 6341 / 6342 Ernakulam-Thiruvananthapuram Intercity Express and train number 6349 / 6350 Thiruvananthapuram-Mangalore-Thiruvananthapuram Parasuram Express will stop for one minute at the Chirayinkeezhu railway station on March 10 and 11, according to a press note issued here today by the Southern Railway.

Programme on Ravindran

Asianet will telecast a special programme, `Ravindrasangeetham-Oru Orma,' on the life and work of music director Ravindran who died in Chennai on Thursday. The programme will be telecast at 10.30 a.m. on Sunday.

Elected

The CITU-led front has won five out of seven seats it contested for elections to the recreation club of Travancore Titanium Products Limited. According to a press note here today, Clinus Rosario was elected secretary, and Sixtus joint secretary. Abdul Rashid was elected sports convener.

Postponed

The one-day workshop for representatives of organisations of higher secondary teachers scheduled to be held at the State Council of Educational Research and Training on March 7 has been postponed to March 9. It will start at 9 a.m. Three persons from each organisation, including the general secretary and president, should participate in the workshop.
