TIRUPATI, MARCH 6. The `Media sports-2005' organised under the aegis of the Tirupati Press Club got off to an enthusiastic start with several mediapersons including women members participating in a number of events like cricket, running race, kabaddi, long-jump, carroms and chess at different venues. Among the dignitaries that participated in the inauguration of the two-day event were the Tirupati MP, Chintha Mohan, the MLA, M. Venkatramana, the Chairman of the Tirupati Urban Development Authority (TUDA), B. Karunakar Reddy, and the SV University Vice-Chancellor, S. Jayarama Reddy. The dignitaries also formally declared open the inaugural cricket match between the President's XI and the Secretary's XI.
