Salesman duped
By Our Staff Reporter
HYDERABAD,
MARCH 7.
A trickster took away three wristwatches costing Rs. 2.10 lakhs from a watch-shop salesman after inviting the latter to a star hotel in the name of showing them to his business partners.
The trickster walked into `Time in Style' watch show room on Saturday by the name Suneel. He told the salesman, M. Mallesh, that he was a businessman and had selected three watches for presenting them to his partners.
He invited Mallesh to Taj Banjara hotel saying he would pay the money after the business delegates approved of his selection. An unsuspecting Mallesh, along with his colleague, Balraj, went to the hotel.
The stranger made them sit in the lobby for sometime and later took them to the first floor.
He asked them to wait in the corridor, took the three watches and went downstairs saying he would return after showing them to his friends.
The salesmen grew suspicious and realised they were taken for a ride after learning that none by the name of Suneel had checked into the hotel. The Banjara Hills police launched a hunt for the accused.
