Protest against obscenity

NEW DELHI, MARCH 8. Condemning obscene representation of the female body in the media, women members of the Delhi Union of Journalists today urged their management to evolve a gender just policy on coverage of women and their issues.

The inability of women journalists to address these issues is a reflection of their exclusion from policy making and is due to the job insecurity resulting from contractural nature of their employment, DUJ members said in a resolution passed on the occasion of the International Women's day here.
