Cloistered justice

Sir, — "Cloistered Justice" (March 10) is the most brilliant editorial I have read in The Hindu . The entire legal system hinges upon the integrity of judges, lawyers, litigants, witnesses and the media who uphold the truth while discharging their duties. India's national motto is Satyameva Jayate, and being true to it means bringing about the changes highlighted in the editorial. But the same principles should be made applicable to our law-makers and executive authorities too.

K. Ramanraj,
Chennai
