Toshiba acquires SoCrates

BANGALORE: The Toshiba Group has acquired SoCrates Software India, a Bangalore-based company. This acquisition gives Toshiba the largest presence in India of any of Japan's semiconductor companies. Toshiba has placed emphasis on the digital consumer, mobile communications, automotive and intelligent office market segments.
