SBT `B' escapes

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, MARCH 10. State Bank of Travancore `B' scored a 10-run win over AG's Office Recreation Club in the Thiruvananthapuram district `B' division cricket league at the Medical College ground here on Thursday.

AG's Office, chasing 183 for a win, was rocked by medium pacer Suresh Kumar's spell of six for 42. Despite Sanjeev's fighting knock of 42, AG's never recovered from the early collapse and could only manage 172. Earlier, SBT `B' scored 182 in 42 overs thanks to half-century by Sunil Kumar (58).

The scores: SBT `B' 182 in 42 overs (Sunil Kumar 58, Rajiv five for 71) bt AG's Office Recreation Club 172 in 44 overs (Sanjeev 42, Suresh Kumar six for 42).
