NEW DELHI, MARCH 10. Showcasing new varieties of soya food products, the five-day-long annual event "Aahar 2005", Asia's biggest fair on food and technology, took off in the Capital on Wednesday. The Agriculture Counsellor at the U.S. Embassy, Chad Russell, inaugurated the fair that saw new varieties of food products like juicy soya treat, soya nut, soya nuggets and other unique items for the ever-growing health conscious consumers. The American Soybean Association, a non-profit organisation working towards creating awareness about soya in India, is facilitating the participation of major soya manufacturers at the fair. Prosoya, Bansal Nuts, Ridhisidhi Marketing, Healthcare Processors, Sonic Biochem, Solae Company and Total Health Solutions, all involved in the processing, manufacturing and marketing of soya products, are participating in Aahar 2005.
