VISAKHAPATNAM, MARCH 11. A man, who allegedly tried to cheat advocates at the District Court, was taken into custody by the police on Friday. Ch. Vamsi Krishna Choudhary, of Kakinada town, went to the court claiming to be a representative of the Leprosy India Foundation and sought donations from the advocates. However, the advocates who suspected something fishy, handed him over to the Two Town Police.
Temple burgled
Thieves broke into the Gowri Seva Sangam temple complex at Akkayyapalem in the wee hours of Friday and stole silver ornaments and hundi collections all valued at Rs.15,000.
Man stabbed
A man sustained severe injuries in a scuffle on Friday. According to the police one, B. Vasu purchased chicken from his friend, G. Babu Rao's shop. However, he returned after sometime and claimed that he had lost his Rs.100 note near the shop. When Babu Rao claimed ignorance, Vasu reportedly took out a knife and inlicted injuries on Babu Rao. He was admitted to the KGH hospital and his condition is serious.
