THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, MARCH 11. The first train from the second coaching terminal, being set up Kochuveli near here to ease congestion at Thiruvananthapuram Central Station, will be flagged off on March 30. The Railway sources said the 2653 Kochuveli-Nizamuddin Kerala Sampark Kranti Express, announced in last year's railway budget, will be the first train to commence service from Kochuveli. The details about the flagging off of the train is learnt to figure in the meeting convened by the Union Minister of State for Railways, R. Velu, in Chennai on Saturday. The Chief Passenger Transportation Manager of the Southern Railway has issued instructions to the Commercial department to commence reservation for the Kerala Sampark Kranti Express. The new rakes for the Kerala Sampark Kranti Express have already been despatched by the Railways and are expected to reach the State capital within a day or two. The train will have I AC, AC 2-Tier, AC 3-Tier and Sleeper Class. The regular services of the new train to Nizamuddin will commence from April 4 and to Kochuveli from April 8 onwards.
