IOC initiative for better service

VIJAYAWADA, MARCH 12. The Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) will provide better services to its LPG consumers through it value added customer service initiative, `Indane Star Distributors'. The general manager of IOC's Andhra Pradesh unit, I. Koti Padmakar, said on Saturday that 12 of their LPG distributors operating in the Vijayawada zone had been identified to provide customers several benefits in terms of safety, reliability and convenience. The additional services being provided by the network of Star Distributors was launched by Mr. Padmakar at a function held here.

Addressing distributors on the occasion, he said that as part of the safety initiative, the LPG cylinder deliverymen would carry portable weighing machines and gas detectors to check the weight of the cylinder and for leakages, if any, in front of the customers. Stoves and other installations like regulators provided by the company would be checked free of charge by company personnel.

The IOC chief manager (LPG), B. Vasanth Kumar, and the senior area manager, B.N.K. Hameed, were also present at the launch of the Star Distributors.

Star distributors

The Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) has identified in the first phase 12 Star distributors in Krishna, Guntur, Nalgonda, Khammam, Prakasam, Nellore, Chittoor and Cuddapah districts. These distributors will provide better services to the consumers as part of the company's initiative to improve customer services.

The names of the agencies upgraded as Star Distributors are Ravichandra Gas Agency, Khammam, Sumana Agencies and Raja Gas Agency, Vijayawada, Padmanabha Enterprises, Gudivada, Maruthi Gas Agency, Hanuman Junction, Sri Kanaka Durga Gas Service, Guntur, The Guntur Gas Agency, Guntur, Gruhapirya, Chittoor, Sri Venkateswara Gas Service, Tirupati, Sri Srinivasa Gas Agencies, Tirupati, Krishna Agency, Nellore and Subha Gas Agencies, Markapur.

Indane gas consumers can make use of the toll-free number 1600 334029 and the Vijayawada customer service cell by calling 2543088 between 9.30 a.m. and 5.15 p.m.
