Rs. 12.22 crores for road development

CHITTOOR, MARCH 12. In all 12 roads at a length of 60 km covering Nagari, Puttur, Chandragiri, Piler, Valimikipuram, Thamballapalli and Srikalahasti constituencies would be developed at a cost of Rs. 12.22 crores.

According to official sources, construction of causeway on Kusathali river in Karveti Nagar mandal would be taken up at a cost of Rs. 2.25 crores. Details of other works to be taken up include: Sirigurajupalyam road in Puttur mandal (Rs. 86 lakhs), Chittoor- Irala road to Palakuru via Chaigarapalli (Rs. 1.20 crores), Valligatta road in Piler (Rs. 1.50 crores), Aradigi Gunta road in Punganur (Rs. 1.25 crores), Kandulavaripalli road in Puttur (Rs. 56 lakhs), Thatipathi Dalitwada road in Srikalahasti (Rs. 60 lakhs) Thondavada village road (Rs. 60 lakhs), Bettakonda road in Thamballapalli (Rs. 1.12 crores), Gurramkonda-Galiveedu road in Valmikipuram (Rs. 1.12 crores), Penumur-Nendra Gunta road to Polavaram (Rs. 80 lakhs) and Bommasamudram road (Rs. 44 lakhs).
