CHENNAI,
MARCH 12.
The Union Minister of State for Railways, R.Velu, today had a detailed discussion with the officials of Southern Railway on the action plan, prepared by the Union budget for completion of the ongoing gauge conversion, doubling and other projects for Southern Railway. The Minister also reviewed the progress of the ongoing passenger amenity works in the zone.
The Financial Commissioner, Vijayalakshmi Viswanathan, the General Manager, Ramesh Chandra, and other senior officials participated in the review meeting, according to a railway press release.
