By Our Special Correspondent
CHENNAI,
MARCH 13.
Members of the Akila Bharata Devotees Forum of the Kanchi Mutt and the women's wing of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad observed a daylong fast near Valluvar Kottam here on Sunday.
They protested attempts at the "systematic and malicious propaganda" against Hindu religious heads and Mutts. L. Ganesan, Bharatiya Janata Party national secretary, H. Raja, BJP State general secretary, V.S. Chandralekha, president, Janata Party, and V. Sundaram, former civil servant, spoke.
They called upon them to generate greater awareness among the people to counter the campaign to "defame the reputation" of the Hindu religious leaders.
