ERODE, MARCH 14. The villagers of Eenchampalayam near Thingalure, Perundurai taluk today submitted a petition to the District Collector, D. Karthikeyan, at the grievances day meeting seeking drinking water supply to their village. They said the borewells had started drying leading to water scarcity in the village. Moreover, they said that no streetlights were burning in the village. The Collector assured them that he would instruct the panchayat to ensure water and lighting in the area. The Collector received more than 200 petitions at the meet.
