Three shops evicted

TIRUCHI, MARCH 14. Corporation authorities evicted three shops near the railway junction today. Movable property of an adjoining hotel was also confiscated since the place, originally rented by the Corporation to an individual, had been sublet.

The Corporation had to resort to eviction owing to the failure of the tenant to remit the rental arrears. The eviction drive was carried out by the authorities with police protection.
