PONDICHERRY, MARCH 15. The Election Commission has extended the period for special summary revision of electoral rolls for the Assembly constituencies here on the request of the Pondicherry Government. M. Sathiyavathy, Chief Electoral Officer, Pondicherry, said the last date to file claims and objections had been extended up to March 31 (against February 28 fixed earlier). The date of final publication of the photo electoral rolls relating to all the 30 Assembly constituencies had been fixed for June 2.
