VELLORE, MARCH 15. Ninetytwo executives of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) in the Vellore Telecom District belonging to the United Forum for BSNL Executives, comprising the Sanchar Nigam Executives Association and All India BSNL Executives Association, began a three-day relay hunger strike in front of the Telephone Bhavan here on Tuesday. Their demands included implementation of non-post-based time-bound promotion, weightage for past service (in the Department of Telecommunications/Department of Telegraph Services before the formation of BSNL) and ban on recruitment of management trainees.
