NEYVELI, MARCH 15. The Neyveli Lignite Corporation team, headed by fire officer B. Mohan, bagged the overall championship shield in the invitational golf tournment conducted by the Lignite City Club here on Sunday. The KGF team, led by D. Devarajan, ended as runner-up. The gross score winner trophy went to Prasanth, and the runner-up shield went to Col. Sharma of Garuda Golf Course, Tiruchi, and M. Ganesan of NLC. The net score winner was S. Ragunathan of NLC and S.K. Lal (Mahanadhi Coal Fields) and S. Balachander (NLC) finished joint runners up. L. Pari of NLC won the prize for the longest drive and D. Devarajan, for the closest to pin. Nine teams from NLC, Nagpur, Tiruchi, Mahanadhi Coal Fields, Sambalpur, BEML and KGF participated.
