Air-India triumphs

BANGALORE, MARCH 15 . Air-India won the KSCA second division (Group II) league championship beating MICO Sports Club by 169 runs here. The highlight of Air-India's big win was a century by skipper Rahmatullah Khan in the second innings and good bowling by Jacob Faroz, who had a match haul of eight wickets and Divakar Shetty, who chipped in with six wickets in the second innings.

The scores: Air-India 286 for nine in 55 overs (Rahmatullah Khan 48, Devasthali 43, Jacob 57 n.o., Sandesh Kawle 60) and 259 for three in 30 overs (Rahmatullah Khan 109 n.o., Piyush S. 86). bt MICO 230 in 54 overs (Nagaraj 67, Sadanand 60, Jacob Faroz four 58) and 146 in 26.3 overs (Jacob Faroz four for 48, Divakar Shetty six for 38).
