LUCKNOW, MARCH. 15. Akhil Bharatiya Vaishya Ekta Parishad (ABVEP) today reiterated its decision to vehemently oppose implementation of VAT in Uttar Pradesh claiming it would adversly affect the business community as well as common man. Talking to newspersons here, Parishad national president Sumant Gupta said the ABVEP would soon submit a memorandum to the Prime Minister enlisting 11-point charter of demands pertaining to the interests of business community in the state. ``We also oppose cent percent foreign investment in any business in the country,'' he maintained. Commenting on the law and order situation in UP, he claimed although it was better than under previous regimes, there was still scope for further improvement. - UNI
